If it's not league minimum for anyone, the Leafs wouldn't be interested anyway.

It might sound stupid, but I wouldn't want Chara. Everything that he got away with in Boston, he would be called for in Toronto. He would be on the ice for 3 minutes a game and in the box for 22 minutes.

He's still playing 22-24 min a night on the President's Trophy Team. If he isn't worth 3mil...who is?

I'd take him any day under 2mil.

I'd take Grabner though.

1 year 700K and he doesn't have to worry about moving out to another team if he has to play in the AHL. Can keep his family in the same spot no matter what.

And he makes 700K regardless of where he plays. Seems like a situation he would be interested in IF he doesn't want to just hang them up in the nhl.

I agree with you - what I meant is I don't think he's worth $3.5M to the Leafs because they would have to make other moves to fit him.
